How to Get Featured on Fiverr.com

So, I woke up this morning to a cheerful e-mail from the friendly customer support personnel at fiverr.com informing me that Remy and my gig (click here to see it) was just selected to be "featured" on fiverr.com. Featured gigs appear on the homepage at the top of the list of gigs, so getting your gig featured = getting lots of views and, hopefully, lots of new orders.

In the past few hours, I've already received a few messages both congratulating me on being featured on fiverr and asking me: "How did you get featured on fiverr?" I've decided to address that question here, so I can provide an answer each time I'm asked without reiterating the same response each time.

Without further ado, here's some tips for you, based on how I got featured on fiverr.com:

Post a gig that is somehow unique-- My featured gig, while certainly not the only puppet gig on fiverr.com, is original because the tone and look of our videos differs from other sellers'. If your gig is somehow original, you're more likely to get featured on fiverr.com.

Satisfy your buyers-- I make it my policy to satisfy my buyers, so I do my best to make sure that I understand their wishes before creating and delivering my final product. If you want to get featured on fiverr.com, you'll need to have a high percentage of positive feedback, and the only way to get that is to have satisfied buyers.

Be a positive fiverr.com community member-- If you want fiverr.com to feature you, you must be familiar with the terms of service and make sure that you adhere to them at all times. This includes not posting gigs with inappropriate content. Additionally, if you stumble across a gig that appears to violate fiverr.com's terms of service, report it to customer service. If you help keep fiverr.com clean, both by adhering to the terms of service yourself and helping to flag other users who are not, you have a better chance of becoming featured on fiverr.com.

But, my most general piece of advice is -- Be patient!-- Sorry guys and gals, but pestering featured sellers isn't going to help you get featured any faster. You've got to have a positive track record, a commitment to only posting things that fiverr allows, and the ability to deliver high quality finished work to your buyers. If you adopt these basic guiding principles, you'll havea good chance of being featured on fiverr.com, just like me!
